Migrate from Loop Subscriptions
SubZwallet has a built-in, automated migration channel for Loop Subscriptions. It is designed test-first and reversible: you see every subscription before anything moves, you migrate one or two as a test before the rest, and Loop keeps billing normally until the moment each contract goes live here.
Before you start
- Create your selling plans in SubZwallet (the migration review screen lists exactly which cadences you need).
- Set up the reward rules you want going forward — reward PROGRESS carries over automatically, reward RULES are configured fresh.
- In Loop: Settings → Admin → API Tokens → generate a token (read scopes; add subscription write scope if you want automatic pause-on-Loop at go-live).
- Plan the go-live for a quiet moment and take the storefront/portal offline during the final flip window.
Step 1 — Connect
Open Settings → Migration → From Loop and paste the API token. We verify the connection and show your Loop selling plan groups. The token is stored encrypted and can be disconnected at any time.
Step 2 — Pull (read-only)
One click pulls every active and paused subscription into a review workspace. This is strictly read-only: nothing is created in Shopify and nothing changes in Loop — it keeps billing exactly as before. Re-run Sync any time to pick up changes.
Step 3 — Review & prechecks
Every contract is checked: the saved card is matched to the customer's vaulted Shopify payment method, products and selling plans are confirmed, discounts and billing dates validated. You get Ready / Warning / Blocked counts, and every blocked row shows the exact reason and fix. A "plans to create" panel lists any missing cadences.
Step 4 — Test with 1–2 subscriptions
Select one or two contracts (search by customer email — your own subscription is a great first test). They are created PAUSED, you inspect them, then flip them live: activated here, paused on Loop, within seconds. Watch a real renewal bill correctly. One click rolls them back — ours cancelled, Loop resumed.
Step 5 — Go live in two stages
- Stage all: every ready contract is created PAUSED. Paused contracts cannot bill, so there is zero double-billing risk while you verify — take hours or days.
- Go live: each contract is re-synced from Loop, activated here, and its Loop twin paused — a per-contract cutover of seconds. You get an email report when it finishes.
- Finalize: once you are satisfied, one click cancels the paused Loop subscriptions. Only uninstall Loop AFTER finalizing — never before.
What carries over automatically
- Active and paused subscriptions with their status
- Products, quantities, and the exact charged prices
- Saved payment methods — customers never re-enter cards
- Shipping addresses and delivery prices
- Discounts with their REMAINING uses
- Earned gifts and one-time items still owed
- Reward/milestone progress — order 8 comes after order 7, never back to 1
- Next billing dates
Safety model
The migration is silent for customers (no emails, no notifications) and reversible at every stage: staged contracts never billed and can be discarded free; flipped contracts can be rolled back (we cancel ours and resume Loop). Everything is audit-logged, and anything that cannot migrate is shown with a reason — never skipped silently.
FAQ
Do customers notice anything? No — their next order simply arrives as usual. Can I migrate only part of my subscriptions? Yes, blocked or excluded rows simply stay on Loop. What about prepaid or bundle subscriptions? These are flagged for manual migration in v1. How long does it take? Pulling a few thousand subscriptions takes minutes; you control the pace of everything after that.
