How to pause or cancel a subscription
Pausing keeps the subscription intact — billing and delivery stop, but the contract stays on file so you can resume later without the customer re-subscribing. Cancelling ends the subscription permanently; no future charges are created and the customer would need to subscribe again from scratch.
When to pause vs cancel
Pause when a customer asks to skip a season, travel period, or temporary hold. The subscription picks back up exactly where it left off. Cancel when the customer no longer wants the product at all. If you are unsure, pause first — you can always cancel a paused contract later.
What happens to upcoming billing cycles
When you pause, the next scheduled billing date is suspended. No charges are attempted while the contract is paused. When you resume, subZwallet recalculates the next billing date based on the original cycle interval (e.g., every 30 days) starting from the resume date — it does not backfill missed cycles.
When you cancel, all future billing cycles are removed immediately. Any charge that was already processed before the cancellation stands; no automatic refund is issued.
Find the subscription
Go to **Manage Subscriptions** in the sidebar. Use the tabs (All, Active, Paused, Cancelled, Inventory error) or search by customer name or email. Click the contract to open its detail page.
Pause a subscription
On the contract detail page, click **Pause** then confirm. The contract moves to the Paused tab. Billing and delivery stop until you resume.
Resume a paused subscription
Open the paused contract and click **Resume**, then confirm. The subscription returns to Active and bills on its next recalculated date.
Cancel a subscription
Open the contract and click **Cancel**. Confirm and complete any required fields (e.g., cancellation reason). The contract moves to the Cancelled tab and no further charges are created.
Bulk pause or cancel
From the contract list, select multiple contracts using the checkboxes, then choose Pause, Activate, or Cancel from the bulk action menu. Confirm when prompted. Bulk actions follow the same rules as individual ones.
